Kena Nacoe (Schima) Ryan

Kena Nacoe (Schima) Ryan of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 50 years. Kena Nacoe (Schima) Ryan was born on December 17, 1968, in Prague, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Deryle Gene and Sue (Smith) Schima. She grew up in Prague attending Prague Public Schools graduating from Prague High school in 1987. At a young age she worked for her family’s recreation center in Prague. Following her education, she began working at the Prague Florist for many years during her years as a florist she received her certification as a professional floral designer. On January 29, 2005, she married Steven Ryan in Prague and they made their home in Shawnee. She later worked for the DC Bakery in Shawnee. On February 10, 2016, Steven preceded her in death, and she continued to live in Shawnee. Kena was a kind and thoughtful person and always had a big smile on her face. She was preceded in death by her father; Deryle Schima. She is survived by her mother, Sue Schima of Prague; two sisters, Wendy Thompson of Prague and Sabra Benn and husband Kylar of Shawnee; once niece Zoey Benn of Shawnee; one nephew, Kade Benn of Shawnee; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2019, at the First Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Emmons and Bro. Nathan Howard officiating.
