Julia Laverne Watts, McLoud, OK, age 68, was born on February 8, 1943, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was the daughter of Leonard & Jurlene Mitchell. She left this life on Tuesday, January 11, 2012, in McLoud, OK. Julia married Donnie Watts on August 9, 1963, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was a homemaker. Julia was a member of the Capitol Hill Assembly of God Church, Oklahoma City and a member of the Eastern Star. She loved cooking and cake decorating. Julia was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. She is survived by her husband, Donnie Watts, McLoud, OK; son, Rodney Watts, McLoud, OK; daughter & son-in-law, Kristie & Russell Hooper, Edgewood, NM; brother, Jimmy Mitchell, Rome, TX; 11 grandchildren, Hailey, Brayden, Whitney, Ethan, Jachin, Makiah, Kaelyn, Kenna, Colton, Braylee and Rylan and many other relatives and friends. Services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, January 16, 2012, at the Capitol Hill Assembly of God Church, Oklahoma City, OK, with Bro. Leroy Kerbo officiating. Interment will follow at Dale Cemetery, Dale, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
