Joseph Michael Stewart

Joseph Michael Stewart was born on November 23, 1990, in Shawnee, Oklahoma and departed this life on Friday, February 16, 2018, in Meeker, at the age of 27. Joseph, the son of Michael Gordon and Linda LaDawn (Herd) Stewart, was a lifelong resident of Meeker. Joseph grew up in and graduated from Family of Faith Christian School in Shawnee and devoted a great amount of his time to his church family. He was especially dedicated to the youth of the church. Joseph was very outgoing and loved living life to its fullest and helping those around him do the same also. He was a man of faith, a musician, sound tech for his church and a collector of comic books. Joseph enjoyed superhero movies with the DC comic characters. He was known to always put others first. He enjoyed gourmet cooking and trying new creative recipes on his family. Joseph loved his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all. Joseph was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gene and Marie Stewart and uncle, Randy Stewart. Survivors include his parents, Mike and Linda Stewart of Meeker, OK; brother and sister-in-law, John Isaac “Zack” and Meghan Stewart of Minot, North Dakota; sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Michael Krupa of Durango, CO; nephews, Kaiden, Asher and Ian Krupa; niece, Zoey Stewart; grandparents, Kenneth and Carol Herd of Chandler, OK; aunts and uncle, Donna and Jim Laxton of Prague, OK and Teresa Stewart of Shawnee, OK; uncle, David Herd of Lyon, Kansas; aunt and uncle, Suzie and Everett McBain of Muleshoe, TX; cousins, Gina and Vernon Woodward and family, Chad and Stephanie Lambert and family; Holly Buchanan and family, Jessica and Brad Stevens, Lynnie and Dylan Meeves and family and Clara McBain and many other family and friends.
