Johnnie Darrell Cockrell

Johnnie Darrell Cockrell was born in Stroud, Oklahoma on January 19, 1921, and departed this life in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on Monday, October 29, 2007, at the age of 86 years. Johnnie was the son of Leslie and Laura Roberson Cockrell. A former resident of Stroud, Oklahoma, he was a resident of Bartlesville since 1962. Johnnie married Shirley Troyer in San Francisco, CA on July 12, 1945. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He retired from Texaco, Inc. and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Burden, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include, His wife of 62 years, Shirley of the home, Two sons & daughters- in-law, J. Michael & Concesa Cockrell of Nichols Hills, OK, Kevin & Kelly Cockrell of Stroud, OK, Four grandchildren, Jacki Winn & husband James of Edmond, OK, Johnnie D. Cockrell II of Stillwater, OK, J. Samuel Cockrell of Edmond, OK, Cortney Cockrell of Nichols Hills, OK, One great-grandson:James Ray Winn, III of Edmond, OK, Several nieces and nephews, Other relatives and friends
