Johnie Mae Cobble was born on June 28, 1923, in Paden, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, May 16, 2009, in Paden, Oklahoma, at the age of 85. Johnie, the daughter of Henry and Mattie Mae Coleman Gray, was a long-time resident of Paden. She was a member of the Burnett Mission Holiness Church in Paden. She and Frank Cobble were married on September 10, 1937. She and Frank owned and operated four different stores, two on Paden Main Street, one north of Paden and one in Prague. She graduated from Beauty College and worked with her daughter in Frankie''s Beauty Shop in Prague. She also worked at Tinker Air Force Base, Western Electric, Guy James Manufacturing in Okemah, and as a cook for the Department of Corrections at Boley until she retired. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one son, Billy D. Cobble, one daughter, Frankie Prater, one grandson, one great great grandchild, one sister and one son in law. Survivors include grandchildrenShannon & Tim Denny of Pawnee, Dennis & Angelia Cobble of Paden, Lora Cobble of Paden, Carrie & Heath Henry of Paden; great grandchildren, Shanon Good of Pawnee, Amber Good of Winfield, Kansas, Rachelle Denny of Cleveland, OK, Heather & Clay Duggan of Paden, Jessica Cobble of Paden, Dalton Henry of Paden, Taw Henry of Paden; great great grandchildren, Kaycee Denny of Cleveland, OK, Colton Duggan of Paden; and one brother in law, Bob Duncan, Yukon, OK. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, 2:00 PM, at the Burnett Mission in Paden with Bro. Paul Heard officiating. Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery.
