Jimmy Levette Beaird

Jimmy Beaird departed this life on February 14, 2022 at Hillcrest Hospital. He was 64 years of age. He was born to Gertrude (Hornbeak) and Curley Beaird on July 28, 1957 in Los Angeles, CA. He was the 5th born of five children. Jimmy grew up in L.A., CA where he attended public schools. He later moved to Stroud, OK. He was baptized and became a member of Jesus First Baptist Church. Jim graduated from Stroud High School in 1975. Jim worked several jobs. He helped build and work on houses and cars. He worked for TRW in Redondo Beach, CA. He also worked for Miller Brothers Roustabout, working in the oil fields until he had to retire due to health issues. Jim was a very lovable person, always telling jokes. He loved to make you laugh. He never met a stranger. He was always willing and able to help anyone in need. That’s just the kind of person he was. Jim was preceded in death by his mother Gertrude Beaird, father Curley Beaird, sister Dorothy Williams and brothers Curley, Jr. and Thurman Beaird. Jim leaves to cherish his memory aunt Louie Dean Wheaton of Los Angeles, CA; two sisters Sheila Baber of Stroud, OK and Debra Beaird of Fresno, CA; two brothers-in-law Christopher Baber and Jerry Williams; 4 nephews Dontrell Beaird, Shane Williams, Jherame Williams and Daniel Williams; one niece Cara (Williams) Isom (Cedric); one great nephew Dontrell Smith and three great nieces MiKayla, Alia, and Caia. Although Jim didn’t have children of his own Khyron Sharif and Tyrell Godwin was loved and treated by him as if they were his sons; also, a host of other family and friends. Services will be held Friday, February 25, 2022 at 1:00pm at Jesus Baptist Church in Stroud with burial to follow at Godwin Cemetery. Viewing will be held Wednesday and Thursday from 8-5 p.m. at Park Brothers Funeral Chapel in Stroud. Online condolences and memories may be shared by visiting www.parksbrothers.net.
