Jesse Arlin Friend

Jesse Arlin Friend was born on October 18, 1935 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Raymond and Velma (Kidd) Friend. He graduated from Prague High School in 1955. In 1957, he married his high school sweetheart, Lorene Olsovsky. They were friends and lovers. Jesse enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family and friends. His favorite place in the world was their place at Lake Eufaula. He spent many years there fishing with his family and friends. He was one of a kind, would help anyone that needed it, jack of all trades and could fix most anything broken. Jesse will be missed by all. Jesse is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Vallis and Pete Friend and his sister Linda Drury. Jesse is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lorene Friend; his son Gary and wife Bonnie Friend; his daughter Terri and husband Olen Robinson; six granddaughters Jessica and Jason Buchanan, Anna James, Casey Robinson, Brandy and Shawn Swinford, Ashley and Keith McCaul, Marie and Casey Roberts; 16 great grandchildren, Emma, Jake, Travis, Eric, Austin, Haley, Michael, Harley, Halle, Haelynn, Riley, Madison, Keegan, Erin, Olivia and Adilynn; sister and brother-in-law, Joy and L. M. Potter and his dog “Laney”. The Friend family will receive friends on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague. Memorial services will be held at a later date at Jesse’s favorite place at Lake Eufaula. Memorial donations may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Cancer. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
