Janet Gail Hagar

Janet Gail Hagar, longtime Meeker resident, 85, passed away Tuesday, June 11th, 2024. She was born on April 22nd, 1939, to Doil and Donna Wilson in Oklahoma City, OK. At 7 years old, her family moved to Payson, OK in March of 1947. Janet graduated from Meeker High School in 1957.

Janet married Dean Earl Hagar on May 6th, 1957. In 1959, they bought a farm in Payson, north of Meeker. Janet carried on her farm life of milking dairy cows for 16 years. She was also a United States Postal Rural Carrier in Meeker for 29 years.

Janet is proceeded in death by her mother, Donna Wood; stepfather, Robert Wood; husband, Dean Earl Hagar; three brothers, Bert, Danny, and Richard Wilson; and a sister, Judy Guinn.

Janet is survived in death by her children, Ray Dean Hagar of Meeker, Ok, and Carolyn Hagar McLemore and husband Don of Chandler OK; grand-daughters, Nicole Hagar, and Holly Trunk; grandson, John Henry Hagar; 5 great grand-children; siblings, Diane Manley of Choctaw, Ok, Jo Ann and Milton Dickson of Shawnee, OK, Robert Lee and Barbara Wood of Meeker, Ok, Gene and Debbie Wood of Foster, Ok, Susie and Rusty Denney of Meeker, Ok, Nancy and Larry Bradley of Meeker, OK; as well as nieces, nephews, and many friends.
