James E. "Jim" Kindelsperger

October 18, 1937 — January 4, 2004

James E. 'Jim' Kindelsperger was born on October 18, 1937, in Moline, IL, and left this life on Sunday, January 4, 2004, at the age of 66. Jim, the son of Leonard James and Alice Marie Swetina Kindelsperger, served in the United States Navy where he was assigned to NAS, Miramar. He was also retired from John Deer Corp. Jim?s passion for travel and fishing was exceeded only by his greater love of writing. His poems have been published in the Meeker News and the Chisholm Trail Museum, Kingfisher, OK, the Sod House Museum in Aline, OK, and the Santa Fe Depot Museum in Shawnee, OK. A resident of Meeker, Jim will be sorely missed by his family and many friends. His parents and one son, James, Jr., preceded Jim in death. Survivors include his ?Lovely Lady,? Sue Parks of Meeker; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim Joe and Debra Kindelsperger of Middleburg, FL, John Paul & Darr Laa Kindelsperger of Wagoner, OK; daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary and Mike Miller of Blue Grass, IA; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2004, at 2:30 P.M., at the First Christian Church in Meeker with Craig McElvany officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker, Oklahoma. Pallbearers are Grover Gregory, John Davis, Conrad Cochran, Roy McMeans, Lindel Souders. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
