James "Bud" Cardwell

James Melvin 'Bud' Cardwell, long-time, Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born on January 26, 1927, in Chandler, and departed this life on September 8, 2013, in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 86 years. Bud was the son of Floyd and Edna Lenore (Ashley) Cardwell. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. Bud married Rosetta Wiley on September 15, 1972, in Chandler. He worked for Curry Funeral Home and then Curry-Parks Funeral Home for 30 plus years. Bud was of the Baptist faith. His parents, wife, one son, David, one daughter, Judy, two grandson, Jason Michael, Christopher Wayne, two sisters, and two brothers, preceded Bud in death. Survivors include, three sons, Everett Guinn of Chandler, Ronnie Guinn of Chandler, Carl Guinn of Choctaw, Oklahoma, two sisters, Rita Green of Kansas, and Doris Hoyt of Kansas, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at Rossville Cemetery, Wellston, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
