Irwin Franklin Spooner was born on December 5, 1924, in Ottawa, Kansas to Irwin Nestor and Ida Miller Spooner, and died on Saturday, December 4, 2004, at his home near Prague, Oklahoma. Mr. Spooner was 79 years of age. Mr. Spooner was a resident of the Prague area most of his life having moved from Kansas with his parents as a young boy. He worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Pacific theater during World War II. He enjoyed all things about nature. His father, mother, 4 sisters, 3 nephews, 3 great-nephews and 1 great-great-niece, preceded Mr. Spooner in death. Survivors include his sister, Mary Elizabeth Ellis; numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Tribal rites will be Tuesday, December 7, 2004, at 10:00 A. M., at the Spooner Family Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.
