Imogene Fern (Lester) Jackson

Imogene Fern (Lester) Jackson was born in Bristow, Oklahoma on June 1, 1919 and departed this life in Sand Springs, Oklahoma on January 28, 2011 at the age of 91 years. Imogene was the daughter of Roy and Elizabeth (Bath) Lester. Imogene was a resident of Stroud, Oklahoma since 2001, she spent most of her life in Bristow, Oklahoma. She was affiliated with the First United Methodist Church in Stroud. Imogene graduated from Bristow High School in 1936 and then attended Oklahoma A.M. graduating with a degree in Elementary Education. She was a 3rd grade Teacher for 42 years in Bristow until she retired in 1981. Imogene married E. A. Jackson in Stroud on April 23, 1955. He preceded her in death January 22, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, R. C. and Earl Lester. Survivors include, One Son & Daughter In Law, Ewing & Linda Jackson of Sands Spring, OK, One Daughter & Son In Law, Beth and Chris Wilson of Stroud, OK, One Sister, Rosabelle Heatherly of Jackson, TN, Five Grandchildren, Elizabeth Wilson, Matthew Wilson & wife Beth, Landon Wilson, Jeana Wilson, Dean Shockley & wife Lisa, Four Great Grandchildren,Joshua Shockley, Cory Lane, Logan Shockley, Isabella Shockley, Other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Bristow, Oklahoma at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, January 31, 2011 with Elizabeth Wilson and Rev. Kip Wright officiating. Burial will be in the Bristow Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma .
