Georgia Louise Holmes White was born on March 19, 1930, in Centerview near Prague, Oklahoma, and ascended to spirit on Thursday, July 1, 2010, in Lexington, Oklahoma, at the age of 80. Louise was the daughter of Francis Henry and Cura (Baker) Holmes. In 1948, she graduated valedictorian from Centerview High School which was 3 miles south of Prague. She married Lester White in 1949, divorced in 1967 and lived with her sister in Miami, FL for a number of years before returning to Oklahoma to be near her sons. Louise had a lively imagination and loved to tell stories to children. She had a sense of humor and would say things to astonish people and make them laugh. Although Louise had little, she was a generous person who freely gave what she had. She was well loved by her friends and staff of Broadway Living Center in Lexington, Oklahoma. Her parents; two brothers, Garland and Kenneth Holmes; and one sister, Lenora Bradshaw preceded Louise in death. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Byron and Willean White of Meeker, Loren and Silke White of Norman, Darron and Chrystal White of OKC; sister, June Young of OKC; four grandchildren, Ashley White of Meeker, Laurence Albert White II and his wife Andrea of Norman, Eric White of Norman, Amanda White of Norman; two great-grandchildren, Damian and Dietrich White of Norman; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 2:00 PM, at Parks Brothers Chapel in Prague with Rev. Waldo Young and Rev. Jim White officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole County. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
