George Lee Miller, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma, resident, was born June 18, 1924, in Chandler, and departed this life April 9, 2016, in Chandler at the age of 91 years. George was the son of Charles and Elva (Stinson) Miller. He served in the United States Army. George married Oleta Tharp on October 11, 1955, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He worked for the Oklahoma Highway Department, and Tinker Air Force Base, where he retired in 1974. He owned and operated Millers Drive-in, and George's Car Wash in Chandler. His parents, wife, and four brothers, preceded George in death. Survivors include, daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Larry Hicks of Chandler; one granddaughter, Sarah and Erik Gross of Chandler, and one great-granddaughter, Chloe; one sister, Ella Dea Stafford of Tulsa, Oklahoma; other relatives and many friends. Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler, with Rev. Doyle Seeley officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
