Freeda Monette (Brown) McEntire was born on February 15, 1926, in Cleveland, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Sunday, September 19, 2010, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 84. Freeda, the daughter of Charles Thomas and Lillian Eliza (Nave) Brown, was a resident of Paden, Oklahoma. She married Walter 'Tobe' Vincent McEntire on December 1, 1942 in Martinez, California. He preceded her in death on August 15, 1975. Freeda was a homemaker and a member of the Paden Freewill Baptist Church. Her parents; one daughter, Mona McEntire; one son, Tommy Lee McEntire; and one great-grandson, Tommy Lee Pierce, also preceded Freeda in death. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Janice McEntire of Norman, Tony McEntire of Spencer, Kirby and Carla McEntire of Paden; daughters and sons-in-law, Billie and Gene Dice of Spencer, Betty and Doug Sauer of Spencer; brother, Carroll Brown of Henryetta; sisters, Billie Redford of Prague, Georgene Chapman of Henryetta; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 10:00 AM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Paul Heard officiating. Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery in Prague. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
