Ewing "Jack" Leroy Wadsack Jr.

Ewing "Jack" Leroy Wadsack Jr, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022 in Shawnee, at the age of 86. Jack was born on August 15, 1936 in Prague, Oklahoma. He was the son of Ewing Leroy and Emma (Miskeska) Wadsack. Jack grew up in Prague, attended Prague Schools and was a graduate of Prague High School. He worked for many years as a custodian for Shawnee High School, where he retired after 27 years of service.


Jack married Janice Lee (Johnson) Wadsack. She preceded him in death in (year). He later married Janice Louise (Pitts) Wadsack. She preceded him in death in (year).


Jack was known for his loving and caring heart. He dedicated more than 30 years to the maintenance and upkeep of Gable Cemetery in Meeker. He loved animals, especially his dog, Sandy, and his cat, Priscilla. Jack enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, watching sports, especially baseball and his OU football team. He enjoyed documenting his family with his old camcorder and enjoyed watching them later. You would often find Jack on his front porch in his favorite rocking chair or down at the Boomerang having his favorite breakfast. Jack had a heart of gold and will be missed by many.


Jack was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Ewing Dale Leroy Wadsack; wives, Janice Lee (Johnson) Wadsack and Janice Louise (Pitts) Wadsack; as well as, one sister, Emma Jean Colter.


He is survived by his daughter, Kellie Wadsack; three grandchildren, Crista Newsom, Brooke Newsom and Brittany Beckwith; eight great-grandchildren, Rylee Standlee, Carter Newsom, Daxton Denney, Laylia McCarley, Kannon Denney, Jackson Newsom, Judah Beckwith and Landry Beckwith; one sister, Mildred Adkins and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.


A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague. Burial will immediately follow at Gable Cemetery. The family will accept guest from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.
