Evelyn Ruth Spears

Evelyn Ruth Spears was born in Milfay, Oklahoma on September 2, 1923 and departed this life in Sands Springs, Oklahoma on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at the age of 84 years. Evelyn was the daughter of Forrest Sr. and Maggie Gertrude Fisher Whitmore. Evelyn was a resident of Stroud, Milfay area all of her life. She married Kenneth L. Smith June 21, 1941 in Bristow, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death March 29, 1970. She married E.R. Spears in Stroud, Oklahoma on March 9, 1979. She retired as the Vice President of Bancfirst in Stroud, Oklahoma and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stroud, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Kenneth Jr., 2 Sisters, Foustine Jackson, Edith Hopper, and 1 granddaughter, Renee Villareal. Survivors include, Husband, E. R. of the home, One daughter, Marilyn Willsey of Sands Springs, OK, One daughter in law, Barbara Smith of Manford, OK, Two Brothers & Sister in laws, Tom & Irene Whitmore of Milfay, OK, Forrest Jr. & Betty Whitmore of Milfay, OK, One Sister& brother in law, Peggy & Carl Alexander of Broken Arrow, OK, Brother in law, Lee Jackson of Milfay, OK, Three Grandchildren, Stephen Morris & wife Annali of Edmond, OK, Stephanie Morrison & husband Shannon of Porter, OK, Michelle Dowdy & husband Steve of Oklahoma City, OK,, Seven Great Grandchildren, Other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Stroud, OK on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Burl Mackey officiating. Burial will be in the Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Services in Stroud, OK.
