Evelyn Joyce Wallis

Evelyn Joyce Wallis was born on April 26, 1939, in Wellston, OK, and departed this life on Monday, October 25, 2004, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 65. Evelyn was the daughter of Henry Herman and Juanita Cornelius Modena Hodde. Her father predeceased her when she was a young girl and her stepfather, Bill Hodde, raised her. Evelyn was a resident of Lincoln County most of her life. She married Melvin Gene 'Tiny' Wallis on September 11, 1959, in Shawnee. He preceded Evelyn in death on April 4, 1991. She retired from the McLoud Nutrition Center following 20 years of service, was a member of St. John?s Lutheran Church in Shawnee, and attended Hillside Baptist Church. Her parents and one grandson, Keith, also preceded Evelyn in death. Survivors include her son, Jerry Wallis of Midwest City; daughter and son-in-law, Starla and Lanny Thompson of Dale; brother and sister-in-law, Herman and Millie Hodde of McLoud; and 3 grandchildren, Devin Carroll of Dale, Christi Thompson of Dale, and Ashley Thompson of Dale.
