Ernest Eugene "Gene" Lamb

Ernest Eugene 'Gene' Lamb, age 85, of Harrah, OK, was born on April 20, 1925, in Connerville, OK. He was the son of Charlie & Josephine (Harrell) Lamb. He left this life on Monday, February 21, 2011, in Harrah, OK. Gene married Willa D. 'Billie' Newport on June 26, 1943, in Oklahoma City, OK. He proudly served in the U. S. Navy during WW II. Gene owned several businesses including Mike's Muffler Shop in Oklahoma City and a salvage yard in Harrah. He loved to gamble and absolutely adored all of his grandchildren. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons, Kevin Earl Lamb and Wayne Edward Lamb, 1 brother, Leon and 1 sister, Louise. Survivors include his wife, Billie Lamb, Harrah, OK; 4 sons, Mike E. Lamb, Lexington, OK, William E. Lamb, Blanchard, OK, Gary E. Lamb, Harrah, OK, Mark E. Lamb, Harrah, OK; 5 brothers, Calvin Hilton, Whitney, TX, Lonnie Kennedy, Shawnee, OK, Donnie Lamb, Shawnee, OK, Charlie Lamb, Shawnee, OK, Roger Lamb, Shawnee, OK; 2 sisters, Delores Hughes, Edmond, OK, Violet Lamb, Shawnee, OK; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 25, 2011, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
