Emma Lou Stephens

Emma Lou Stephens was born in Kendrick, OK on March 10, 1928 and departed this life in Tulsa, OK on February 16, 2018 at the age of 89 years. Emma was the daughter of Ralph and Edith (Hale) Wonderly. She was a resident of Lincoln County since 1979. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Stroud and was a homemaker. Emma married Howard Warren Stephens, Sr. on November 18, 1946 in Stroud. He preceded her in death September 27, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Mildred, Billie and Petty. Survivors include one daughter, Connie Sue Boone and husband Richard of Tulsa, one son, Howard Warren Stephens Jr. and wife Susan of Wynnewood, one sister, Betty Jean Murphy and husband Pat of Big Spring, TX, six grandchildren, Karee, David, Amanda, Sara, Sam and Sally, twelve great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Stroud on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 10:00 AM with Pastor James Bond officiating. Private family burial will be at the Parkland Cemetery in Parkland, OK under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
