Emil Juluis Heinzig

Emil Julius Heinzig was born on February 2, 1917, in Arlington, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Sunday, May 17, 2009, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 92. Emil, the son of Bruno and Martha Brauer Heinzig, was a life-long resident of the Prague area. He married Lorna Lorene Reagin on July 31, 1937 in Chandler. She preceded Emil in death on March 29, 2006. Emil built many homes in the Prague area with Max Brauer and Allen Pridgen. He was also a farmer and rancher and a member of Deer Creek Baptist Church. Emil was also preceded in death by his parents; one brother; one sister; and one son, James on August 11, 2008. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Don and Michelle Heinzig of Oklahoma City; daughter-in-law, Rae Ellen Heinzig of Prague; brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Hazel Heinzig of Shawnee; sisters and brother-in-law, Frank and Mildred Bartosh of Shawnee, Alvina Benesh of Norman; 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
