Ella Mae (Haney) Robinson, passed away on June 3, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 82. Ella Mae was born on October 16, 1941 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was the first of her family to be born in a hospital. She was the daughter of Mattison David and Ruth Frances Haney. Ella Mae grew up in Harrah, she attended White Rock and Harrah Public Schools and was a 1959 graduate of Harrah High School. While in high school, Ella Mae excelled academically as well as on the basketball court. Following high school, she attended the Draughon’s Business School, where she graduated with a degree in drafting and design. While attending Draughon, Ella Mae met Edwin Marion Robinson. Ella Mae and Edwin, were married on November 6, 1960 and were happily married for more than 44 years when he preceded her in death on April 13, 2005.
Ella Mae enjoyed reading, working puzzles, rock painting and genealogy. Her family and her family history were very important to her. She spent many hours tracing her family tree and traveling to visit family and places of significance in her family’s history. Ella Mae was best known for her giving spirit and big heart. She often gave of herself for the betterment and care of others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by many.
Ella Mae was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Edwin Marion Robinson; her son, Phillip Wayne Robinson; her granddaughter, Kayla Lee Robinson and two brothers, James David Haney and Daniel Wallace Haney.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Eddy Mark Robinson and his wife, Rose; her daughter, Angela Christine Holcomb; seven grandchildren, Daniel Mark Robinson, Alexandria Caitlin Holcomb, Anthony Andrew Holcomb, Adam Franklin Holcomb, Aaron Michael Holcomb, Kenna Rae Bundy and her husband, Josh, and Shannon Marie Flores; eight great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; her sister, Patricia Ruth Burghart and a host of family and friends.
