Elizabeth Ann McGinnis, of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 in Edmond, Oklahoma at the age of 47. Elizabeth was the daughter of Frank Martin and Julie (Matney) Daniel. She was born on August 14, 1974 in Seminole, Oklahoma. She was a graduate of Prague High School, graduating with the Class of 1992. Following her high school graduation, Elizabeth, proudly served her country by enlisting in the United States Navy. While in the Navy, Elizabeth, was honored to be part of the first group of women on the USS Sacramento. Elizabeth married the love of her life, Tommy McGinnis, on May 20, 2005. The couple made their home in Prague. Elizabeth was a very creative person. She loved to craft and doodle. She was a caring person, always caring for others. She loved sea food and Dr. Pepper. Elizabeth's world revolved around her children and grandchildren. The grandchildren affectionately called her "Nanny." Elizabeth was preceded in death by her father, Frank Martin; her grandparents, Mitchel and Beulah Martin and Ed and Helen Quary; her uncle, Gordan Martin and her father-in-law, Sam McGinnis. Those left to cherish her memory are: her husband of 16 years, Tommy McGinnis; her mother, Julie Daniel and her husband Sanford; her mother-in-law, Betty McGinnis; her children, Jennifer Cook, Kacee McGinnis, Bryce Brown and his companion Desi Bowman and T.J. McGinnis; her grandchildren, Crystal, Lilie, C.J., Jolene, Colt, Hayli, Scarlett and Andrew; her siblings, Michelle Jack and her husband, Shawn; Malisa Daniel, Travis Daniel and his wife, Tamee, Kristi Wright and her husband Garrett and Leesa Daniel and her husband Cullen; her sisters-in-law, Donna Nichols and Diana Mayfield and brothers-in-law, Sammy McGinnis and his wife, Kae, and Randall McGinnis. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Monday, October 11, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Prague. The family will accept guests from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.
