Dub Wayne Rowland, Sr., age 79, of Newalla, OK, was born on September 28, 1932, in Talihina, OK. He was the son of Jess Alvin & Mae Belle (Bishop) Rowland. He left this life on Thursday, October 13, 2011, in Norman, OK. Dub proudly served in the National Guard and the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Barbara Nell Goins on August 27, 1954, in Poteau, OK. Dub enjoyed elk hunting, horse racing and going to the casino. Dub was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter, Cindy Martin, sister, Veta Gandy and 3 brothers, Gene, Ray & Jerry Rowland. Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law, Dub & Christy Rowland, Newalla, OK; 3 daughters & sons-in-law, Debbie Johnson, Newalla, OK, Sharon & Dale Davis, Shawnee, OK, Rhonda & Roy Kaseca, Shawnee, OK; sister, Sandra Possey, Wilburton, OK; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 15, 2011, at Dale Cemetery, Dale, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
