Dr. Harry Wiese

Dr. Harry August Wiese Jr., long-time Chandler, OK, resident was born on August 17, 1932, in Madison, South Dakota, and departed this life on Sunday, June 28, 2009, in Stroud, OK, at the age of 76 years. Harry was the son of Harry August and Marlys (Koopman) Wiese Sr.. He served in the United States Navy in Pensacola, Florida. Harry married Maxine McLain on August 16, 1952, in Folkston, Georgia. Dr. Wiese worked as an Optometrist in Chandler for many years. He served as the president of the Chandler School board and was past president of the Oklahoma Optometric Association, Lions and Rotary Clubs of Chandler and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. His parents and wife preceded Harry in death. Survivors include, fours sons & daughters-in-law, Jon & Suzanne Wiese of Stillwater, OK, Jay & Connie Wiese of Tulsa, OK, Paul & Dee Dee Wiese of Livermore, CA, Carl & Debbie Wiese of Chester, NJ, eleven grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends. Expressions of sympathy may be made to, Chandler Ambulance Fund, City of Chandler, 414 Manvel Ave. Chandler, Oklahoma 74834 Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 2, 2009, at the First United Methodist Church, Chandler. Burial will be at Oak Park Cemetery at 9:00 A.M. with Rev. Sungsu Hwang officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
