Dorothy Jean Morgan

Dorothy Jean Morgan, age 75, of McLoud, OK, was born December 9, 1940, in Cogar, OK. She was the daughter of Lewis & Julia Mae (Willis) Green. She left this life on Monday, September 26, 2016, in McLoud, OK. Dorothy was a supervisor in the mailroom at the Oklahoma State Tax Commission. She married Ray Morgan on August 30, 2003, in Cleveland County, OK. Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Harrah and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. Her hobbies included playing bingo, going to the casinos, traveling, quilting, cooking and playing pool with Ray. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jessie Canada, 4 brothers, Frank, Raymond, Charlie and Oscar. Survivors include her husband, Ray Morgan, McLoud, OK; 3 sons & daughter-in-law, James Effinger, Oklahoma City, OK, Shannon & Vicky Taylor, Portsmouth, OH, Christopher Canada, McLoud, OK; 4 daughters & sons-in-law, Faye & Michael Barrett, Shawnee, OK, Brenda & Benny Cox, McLoud, OK, Patty & Johnny Humbles, Luther, OK, Susan & James Morgan, McLoud, OK; brother, Ronnie Green, Missouri; sister, Shirley LeMaster, McLoud, OK; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, her dogs, Shamu & Pedro and many other relatives and friends. Services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 29, 2016, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
