Donald "Don" Ray Aylor

June 28, 1933 — October 26, 2017

Donald Ray Aylor peacefully entered Heaven’s Gates from his home on Thursday, October 26, 2017. He was born in Little, Oklahoma on June 28, 1933 to Dewey R. Aylor and Effie E. (Hall) Aylor. Along with his three brothers, Don was raised on the family farm in Little, Oklahoma. Don graduated from Prairie Valley School as the class salutatorian in 1951. Following graduation, Don served in the United States Army during the Korean War and the National Guard. After returning from the war, Don was employed by Parks Brothers Hardware and Undertaking Company. Next, Don worked for the U.S. Post Office in Prague for thirty-six years. After his retirement from the post office he worked for Kinslow Corp along with his brother and best friend, Bob Aylor. Don was a member of Prague Lion’s Club, a former member of the Prague School Board and former treasurer of the First Baptist Church of Prague, OK. He married Jackie Sue Goss on February 14, 1958 and to this union three sons were born. On May 9, 1980, he married Juana Baker in Prague, OK. Together, Don and Juana had a loving yours, mine and ours home of seven children. Preceding him in death were his parents, brother, Bobby Jack Aylor and infant son, Randy Lynn Aylor. He is survived by his devoted wife, Juana M. Aylor; sons, Mike Aylor and Gary Aylor and his wife, DeLana; step-children, Cameron Spradling, Chris Spradling, Michele Sprague, Jill Guinn and Gina Spradling; his brothers, Frank Aylor and Jerry Aylor; fifteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and many family and friends. Don passed away with dignity and grace. He was greatly loved and well respected. He was our hero. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association. The Aylor family will receive friends on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 2:00 PM, at Prague First Assembly of God with Rev. Kevin Wehrli and Dr. David A. Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
