Dewey W. Stroud

Dewey W. Stroud was born on March 9, 1942 , in Fletcher, OK, and departed this life on Sunday, January 16, 2011, in Stroud, OK, at the age of 68. Dewey, the son of Claiborne and Grace (Mullenix) Stroud, was a resident of Chandler. He married Kowanda Alderson on January 6, 1961. Dewey worked as a painter for many years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chandler. His parents preceded Dewey in death. Survivors include, wife, Kowanda of the home, two daughters & sons-in-law, Kathy & Steve Thompson of Ardmore, OK, Kim & Heath Gammon of Caddo Mills, TX, one brother & sister-in-law, Walter & Mary Ann Stroud of Perry, OK, seven grandchildren, Andrea, Amber, Elliot, & Austin Thompson, Erin & spouse Scott Sasser, Tyler & Jamie Grace Gammon, other relatives and many friends. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 2:00 P.M., at the First United Methodist Church in Chandler with Rev. Sungsu Hwang officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
