Darlene Hixon

Darlene Hixon departed this life surrounded by family on July 19, 2021 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 61 years. She was born to James Leo Hixon and Carol Hicks on May, 17, 1960 in Cushing, OK. Darlene grew up around Lincoln County most of her life then moved to Tulsa area in her later years. Darlene worked as a receptionist at a doctor’s office, she loved getting to help people and take care of them. Darlene’s biggest love was family, she was very proud of all of them. Darlene had a knack for creating beauty out of ugliness whether it be turning a cellar into a beautiful Koi Pond or lightening a mood in a room with her bubbly personality. Darlene wanted everyone around her to be happy and laughing. She loved without prejudice and gave beyond her means. Darlene is preceded in death by her father James “Jim” Hixon. Darlene is survived by son Wesley Beck and wife Stacy; her daughter Angie Lindblom and husband John; daughter Pamela Beck and wife Donna; son Robert Smith and wife Cannie; daughter Jessica Smith; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; mother Carol Murray and husband Ronnie and step-mother Sylvia Darlene Hixon; sisters Jamie Hyde, Holly Horning and Tracey Love; boyfriend Rickey Hilburn; 4 step brothers and 4 step sisters; and other extended family and friends. Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel, Stroud, OK with Pastor Mike Mitchell officiating.
