Catherine "Katie" Julia Magott

Catherine 'Katie' Julia Magott, age 100, of Harrah, was born September 20, 1913, on a farm north of Harrah, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Felix & Pauline (Waburska) Majer. She left this life on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, in Harrah, OK. Watie & Pauline Waburska Zacharig had 3 children, Annie Lutomski, Victoria Gorski & John Zachare. After Watie's death, Pauline married Felix Majer. They had Juzel, Maria, Antonina, Frank, Catherine, Mike, Alex, Mary Mahan, Stanley and Felix. Katie married Joe F. Magott on February 19, 1935, at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Harrah, OK. She worked side by side as a housewife, mother, farmer and used lumber sales woman. They had 4 children together, Felix, Patricia, A.J. and Joe, Jr who died at birth. Katie was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, the Alter Society and the Catholic Daughters of America. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Joe, Jr., 12 brothers and sisters, daughter-in-law, Marjorie Burke, son-in-law, Leon Hopcus and grandson, Kevin Hopcus. She is survived by 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Felix & Betty Magott, Harrah, OK, A.J. & Janet Magott, Harrah, OK; daughter & son-in-law, Patricia & Jim Jorski, Harrah, OK; sister-in-law, Helen Mayer; 5 grandchildren, Roger Magott, Lori Mork, Kim Warren, Amber Bishop, Brian Magott; 8 great-grandchildren, Koston, Kyle, Chelsea, Reagan, Carli, Sammy, Bali, & Jaden, several nieces & nephews, other relatives and friends. The family suggests that donations may be made to the Alter Society at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah, OK. Rosary & Wake will be 6:40 P.M., Sunday, July 20, 2014, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah, OK. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 A.M. Monday, July 21, 2014, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah, OK, with Father Prakash Madineni officiating. Interment will follow at St. Teresa Catholic Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
