Carrie Fannie Ann (Woody) Tubbs was born to Cleveland and Artice (Lyons) Woody on July 6, 1945 in Stroud, Oklahoma. she went home on January 15, 2011 at Parkland Manor Nursing Home in Prague, Oklahoma to join her parents, brothers, Cleveland Jr., James and Calvin Woody, sisters, Connie Woody and Cora Story. Early in her adult life she married Tommy Tubbs and had a son Eric Lee Tubbs who she leaves behind to mourn her passing. she also leaves, four brothers, Cledell , Dr. Reverend Claude, Cecil, Column and Reverend Conway Woody; five sisters, Helen C. Woody, Carolyn Washington, Minister Clorett Youngblood and Cleolla Howard, and long time companion George Adams as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Carrie became a Christian at an early age and became a member of Jesus First Baptist Church in Stroud, Oklahoma. She spent most of her adult life in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and worked as a welder at IEC. She enjoyed spending time with her family and crocheting. She will be deeply missed. Funeral service will be held at the C.B. Wright Auditorium in Stroud, Oklahoma on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Dr. Rev. Claude Woody officiating. Burial will follow in the Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Services in Stroud, Oklahoma.
