Billy M. Adams

Billy M. Adams was born on July 16, 1933, in Paden, OK, and departed this life on Thursday, October 21, 2004, at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 71. Billy, the son of Willie Elmer and Opal Pauline Holderfield Adams, was a resident of Okfuskee County most of his life. He was a retired oilfield roughneck and a member of Calvary Way Baptist Church. His parents; one son, Harold J. Adams; and one step-son, Rudy Keith Hayes, preceded Billy in death. Survivors include daughter, Paula L. Poteet of Moore; daughter-in-law, Jo Adams of Prague; his aunt with whom he made his home the last 26 years, Loydell Barton of Paden; special friend, Kay Ogden of Paden; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Shirley Adams of Sparks, NV; sister, Lois Vinson of Shawnee; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and extended family, Kenneth Brackett of Bethany, Lisa Brackett of Oklahoma City, and Lori Howard of Oklahoma City.
