Billy Dewayne Austin

Billy Dewayne Austin, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born January 24, 1949, in Chandler, Oklahoma. He departed this life on December 25, 2020, at his home in Chandler, at the age of 71 years. Bill was the son of Oran and Naoma Rose (Dollison) Austin. He graduated from Chandler High School in 1967. Bill served in the United States Army. He married Trudy Webb on May 10, 1970, in Chandler. Bill worked as a Diesel Engineer for Phillips Petroleum for many years. He attended Friends Church. Bill enjoyed woodworking and traveling. He will be greatly missed. His father, Oran; son, Jeffrey Scott Austin; brothers, Gary Austin, Bob Helm and two infant brothers, Ricky and Jimmy preceded Bill in death. Survivors include his wife Trudy; mother, Naoma; brothers, Wendell Helm, Ben Helm and David Helm; sisters, Carroll Myers, Marie Boggs, Brenda Rich and Pam Pratt; other relatives and many friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Chandler, Oklahoma.
