Betty Lee Young

Betty Lee Young, 90, of Seminole, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 15, 2019. Betty was born on April 18, 1929 in Banner, Oklahoma to John “Dock” and Charlotte “Lottie” (Spence) Simpson. She married Alvin Young on August 15, 1954 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Betty worked for Canadian Valley Cooperative for over 15 years mainly as a dispatcher. Most of all Betty enjoyed cooking and feeding her family and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Alvin; her parents; a brother, Billie Simpson; her son, Larry Alvin Young and a daughter, Susan Cheri Young. Betty is survived by her son, Robert Young and his wife, Angie; a daughter, Ann Hicks; grandchildren, Bethany Hicks, Kristin Underwood and husband Lance; Tyler Hicks and Summer Beverly; Brandon Underwood, Brian Underwood, Beau Underwood and wife Sheri; and Blake Underwood and his wife Rebecca; Betty is also survived by numerous great and great-great grandchildren and other extended family members and friends.
