Bethel E. Hagar

Bethel Eugene ?Gene? Hagar, Hemphill, Texas, resident, formerly of Carney, Oklahoma, was born on August 9, 1926, in Carney and departed this life in Canyon, Texas, on September 2, 2007, at the age of 81 years Gene was the son of Bethel and Effie Mae Kelly Hagar. He served in the United States Army. Gene married Jois Alene O?Rear, on September 23, 1949, in Pampa, Texas. He worked as a Production Supervisor. His parents, and two brothers preceded Gene in death. Survivors include, Wife of 57 years, Jois Alene of the home, Two sons, Larry Gene Hagar of Wellington, KS, David Lee Hagar of Cypress, TX, Daughter, Kay Lynn Hagar of Canyon, TX, 4 Grandchildren, 5 Great-grandchildren, Other relatives and many friends. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2007, 1:00 PM, at Carney Cemetery, Carney Oklahoma, with Rev. Hugh Willoby officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
