Ann Sutton Parsley, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, age 80, was born April 2, 1925, in Velma, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Wednesday, July 20, 2005, in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Ann was the daughter of Ardie P. & Percy Bond Sutton. She grew up in southern Oklahoma, attending school at Paoli and graduated from Stratford High School in Stratford, OK. She worked at Douglas Aircraft Company in Tulsa and then transferred to Tinker AFB in Midwest City, where she met her future husband who was serving in the U.S. Air Force. She married Robert O. Parsley on November 23, 1951, in Japan. Together they traveled to Alaska, Japan, Florida, Texas and New Mexico. Ann worked as a clerk and secretary for 33 years in civil service at each location they were stationed. She was a member of the Chapter #193 Eastern Star in McLoud, OK. She loved to cook and was famous for her cakes which she made for many special occasions. Ann loved her nieces and nephews very much and was an important part in each of their lives. They will miss her special smile. Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Survivors include 3 brothers & 1 sister-in-law, James W. Sutton, Harrah, OK, Haskell Sutton, Harrah, OK, Olen Ray & Roberta Sutton, Lake Eufaula, OK; 2 sisters & brothers-in-law, Syble & Lorne Durant, Harrah, OK, Inez & Bert Cox, Oklahoma City, OK and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank Manor Care Nursing Home and Hospice Quality Care for their care and support. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 23, 2005, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK, with Chaplain Jim McCool officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery in Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service, Harrah, Oklahoma.
