Alyce Faye Watts

Alyce Faye (Elmore) Watts was born on November 20, 1934, in Burrton, Kansas, and departed this life on Monday, February 12, 2018, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 83. Alyce, the daughter of Arvil “Pete” and Jesse Beulah (Houck) Elmore, was a long time resident of Prague. She married Gerald Max Watts on November 27, 1953 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. After obtaining her degree at Seminole State College she worked as a registered nurse and was a member of the Oklahoma Nursing Association. Alyce was a faithful member of Prague Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed sports and was an enthusiastic Thunder fan. She loved any kind of chocolate candy bars. With a career and five children to raise, she excelled as a mother, instilling discipline and a great amount of love. Alyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Bill, George and John and one sister Betty Jean. Survivors include her sons, Robin and Freda Watts of Prague, Gary Watts of Prague, Joe and Twila Watts of Prague and Jimmy and Bobbie Watts of Prague; daughter, Christine and Conny Clay of Newalla; 23 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Twila Elmore of Grove, OK; sisters-in-law Leda Elmore of Okemah and Valentina Elmore of Longview, TX and many other family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 1:00 PM, at Prague Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Randall Miller officiating. Interment will follow at 4:30 PM at Wilson Cemetery in Henryetta. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
